FAN

Gikoko offers high efficiency centrifugal fans with guaranteed output; all impellers are dynamically balanced to ensure smooth operation. Automotive factories specify Gikoko Taniyama fans for the metal finishing painting booths and for the welding shop fume exhausts. Furnace manufactures who required constant operation at high temperature rely on Gikoko fans. Gikoko undertakes field surveys to determine client requirements and performs fan maintenance service.

Fan is a mechanical device that serves to produce flow or flow in a fluid, usually a gas. In the industrial world, the fan is used to generate the flow of gas or air in large quantities used in accordance with the needs of the industry.
The fan consists of several parts, namely, case, blade (vane / blade), and the driver. The vane / blade spins to produce the desired air flow. In  contrast to the function of a compressor that produces low pressurized air, the fan generates a high flow airflow and low pressure.

In the industrial world, fans are used, among others, in the combustion process, HVAC systems, transport, cooling, air dryers, and so forth.

Here are examples of fan apps used in a Steam Power plant :

1. Force Draft Fan (FD Fan) This fan is used to generate high flow to meet the air requirement in the coal combustion process in the furnace. The amount of flow required  depends onthe amount of combustion and water / fuel ratio set. When furnace combustion has to rise due to increasing electrical load requirements, the FD Fan flow  will also adjust up. The aperture of the blade (pitch blade) can be adjusted using a hydraulic system, to adjust the varying amount of air flow requir

2. Induced Draft Fan (ID Fan) Fan ID serves to adjust the amount of air pressure in the furnace, by regulating the flow of flue gas flue gas out to the chimney. The pitch blade can also  be adjusted to open the flush gas flow flow

3. Primary Air Fan (PA Fan) PA Fan, which is one example of centrifugal fan use works to transport powder-sized coal from pulveriser to furnace. In addition, air from PA  Fan is also   used to dry the coal, so the combustion process in the furnace is more efficient.

4. Ventilation System As I have explained in my previous article with the title HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), fan is widely used in HVAC systemsAs ventilation, air conditioning circulation (Air Handling Unit, and exhaust fan.

There are 2 types of fan used, namely centrifugal fan and axial fan. The centrifugal fan uses the centrifugal force principle to produce a higher pressure   air flow. While the axial fan uses the axial force principle to focus on producing a large flow of air flow with lower pressure.
